Privacy Policy
Effective June 7, 2026
The Short Version
This game is built to be played without an account. We don't collect your email or payment information. Your in-progress draft is saved locally to your own browser. If you choose to submit a score to the global leaderboard, only your first name, last initial, win-loss record, and team score are stored on our server. That's it.
This policy covers the current state of the site and should be reviewed by a qualified professional before analytics, advertising, or payment features are added.
What We Store
In your browser (local storage): Your in-progress draft — selected mode, current rolled team, drafted players, filled lineup slots, and game state. This never leaves your device and can be cleared by clearing site data in your browser settings.
Daily Challenge best-score tracking (local storage): When you complete a Daily Challenge, your best result for that day is saved locally using a date-keyed entry. This is used to ensure only your personal best for that date is submitted to the leaderboard. This data never leaves your device automatically.
On our server (global leaderboard, opt-in only): If you choose to submit your score after a game, we store your first name, last initial, win-loss record, team score, game mode, your drafted roster (player names and years), and submission timestamp in a database hosted by Hostinger. Submission is always optional — you can skip the prompt and nothing is saved server-side.
Visit counter: We keep a running count of page loads to track general site usage. No personal information is stored with this count.
What We Don't Collect
- No account or registration required.
- No email address collected.
- No payment data collected by the game.
- No tracking or advertising cookies intentionally set.
- No full name — only first name and last initial if you voluntarily submit a score.
The Global Leaderboard
After finishing a game you'll be offered the option to add your name to the global leaderboard. This prompt is entirely optional — clicking Skip sends nothing to the server. If you submit, your first name, last initial, score, and record are stored in our database and may be visible to other players. There is currently no way to delete a submitted entry; contact us if you'd like yours removed.
The Share Button
If you use Share Result, your browser's native share sheet opens or your result is copied to the clipboard. The game does not send that result to a server. Anything you post or share through another app is covered by that app's own privacy policy.
Third-Party Services
The site loads fonts from Google Fonts. Current-season player data may be requested from a public baseball statistics API when local historical data isn't available. Historical player and team data is derived from the Lahman Baseball Database, a publicly available research dataset. These services may receive basic technical information from your browser — IP address, browser type, and requested URLs — when your browser connects to them.
Server Logs
Our hosting provider (Hostinger) may automatically log standard technical information — IP address, browser type, referring pages, and timestamps. These logs are used for security, debugging, and reliability.
Cookies
The game does not set its own tracking cookies. We use your browser's session storage to avoid counting a single visit more than once per session for the page view counter. Third-party services may use cookies according to their own policies.
Children
This is a general-audience game not designed to collect information from children. If a parent or guardian has concerns, contact us and we'll address it promptly.
Future Changes
If analytics, advertising, email signup, or additional personal data collection are added, this policy will be updated before those features launch.
